Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of social support, adaptive perfectionism, and spiritual intelligence in the psychological adjustment of students at Bamyan University, with the mediating role of resilience. The research method is applied in terms of the goal, survey-based in data collection, and descriptive in the research methodology. The statistical population of this study consists of all students studying at Bamyan University, with a statistical sample of 268 selected using a multi-stage cluster random sampling method. The research tools included the standard Social Support Questionnaire by Wax et al. (1986), the standard Adaptive Perfectionism Questionnaire by Hill (2004), the standard King's Spiritual Intelligence Questionnaire (2014), the Weinberger Psychological Adjustment Questionnaire (1971), and the standard Resilience Questionnaire by Connor and Davidson (2003). Descriptive and inferential statistical methods, such as Pearson's correlation coefficient, regression, and path analysis, were used to test the research hypotheses. Finally, it was concluded that social support, adaptive perfectionism, and spiritual intelligence play a significant role in the psychological adjustment of students at Bamyan University, with the mediating role of resilience.
