Abstract

Abdul Qadir Khattak is a renowned Pashto poet known for his mastery across multiple literary fields. He demonstrated exceptional skill in various genres, addressing themes of morality, the beauty of nature, and translating significant works from Arabic and Persian. His poetry reflects deep intellectual engagement and artistic versatility. This study specifically explores the influence of the Holy Quran on Khattak’s poetry, examining the extent to which Quranic themes and linguistic structures have shaped his poetic expressions. These influences are analyzed in three key dimensions: semantic influences, which explore how Quranic meanings and interpretations are reflected in his Pashto poetry; technical influences, which examine the impact of Quranic stylistic and rhetorical techniques; and literary influences, which highlight the presence of Quranic metaphors, allegories, and storytelling elements in his work.
