Abstract
Statistical analysis using SPSS provides the foundation for fast and effective learning of statistical techniques. To assess the level of knowledge and attitudes of students regarding data analysis and the SPSS program, a descriptive questionnaire-based survey was conducted with 120 students at Kabul University. The results revealed a strong correlation between entrance exam scores and the average of previous semester scores (r=0.566; p<0.001). Additionally, 25% of students had low knowledge, 66% had medium knowledge, and 9% had good knowledge of data analysis techniques. A statistically significant difference was observed between the level of students' knowledge and their field of study (p<0.05). Furthermore, 86.9% of students had a positive attitude toward learning SPSS, and 58.6% were willing to pay a fee to improve their proficiency in the program. Therefore, it is recommended that continuous training programs in statistics and SPSS be implemented to enhance students' knowledge and skills for professional decision-making and scientific research projects.
