Abstract

Sociologists argue that while hunting, gathering, farming, and herding communities still exist in some remote parts of the world, they are gradually disappearing. Among the various forms of human societies, the dominant structure in the modern era is the industrial society. Industrial societies emerged as a result of the Industrial Revolution, which began with the invention of the machine in the eighteenth century. These societies differ significantly from previous social systems. They are primarily based on industrial production, which plays a crucial role in economic investment, and most of their populations reside in large urban centers. Additionally, industrial societies have developed extensive technical and industrial expertise. This study provides a sociological analysis of the characteristics of industrial society, exploring its economic and social structures, the impact of industrialization on urbanization, and the role of technological advancements in shaping modern economies.
