Abstract

Mental health is not just the absence of illness and disability; rather, it encompasses complete physical, mental, and social well-being. The present study aimed to examine the relationship between mental health and resilience among students of Habiba High School in Kabul city, using stratified and random sampling methods conducted in 2024. The sample size consisted of 312 school students. In this study, Goldberg's General Health Questionnaire (1972) and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (2003) were used. Pearson correlation and simple linear regression tests were applied in the data analysis. The results showed a statistically significant relationship between resilience and mental health (p < 0.001). Regression analysis results indicated that resilience could be considered as a predictive variable for mental health status. Therefore, resilience has a positive and direct relationship with mental health, and through intervention programs such as resilience enhancement training, students' mental health and quality of life can be enhanced.
