Abstract

Quality of life is a crucial indicator of genuine progress in societies and is often associated with common psychological disorders. This study explores the relationship between stress, anxiety, depression, and quality of life among 382 students at Kabul University using stratified random sampling. Participants completed the WHO Quality of Life Questionnaire (WHO-QOL) and the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS). Data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation and multiple regression. Results indicated that stress, anxiety, and depression significantly predict students' quality of life. Given the crucial role of universities in shaping future generations and the large youth population, attention to students' mental well-being and life satisfaction is vital. It is recommended that universities expand their psychological counseling and support services. Moreover, integrating stress management training and mental health awareness into university curricula can contribute to improving the overall psychological health and academic success of students.
