Abstract

Playwriting through dream work is a creative approach that enables writers to tap into the allure and potential of dreams to craft compelling dramatic works. This article examines the relationship between playwriting and dreamwork and analyzes its role in creating engaging and meaningful plays. The purpose of the study is to explore how dreamwork is utilized in playwriting and to assess its level of impact. Initially, the concept and definition of dreamwork are explained, followed by an exploration of its connection to playwriting. Dreamwork, as a powerful tool in the art of dramatic writing, allows writers to construct a world rich in imagination. Through this method, writers can creatively delve into the inner dimensions of characters, relationships, and events, offering a profound reflection of human realities. The findings of this study indicate that dreamwork provides writers access to the aspirations, fears, hopes, and unspoken desires of characters and their internal dynamics. This article employs a review approach, primarily focusing on analytical and descriptive research methods.
